Music is an important part of worship in our church.
The Lambs and Children participate in a children's choir on
Wednesday nights. They occasionally perform in the morning
worship service. The ECDC children also sing for us at various
times throughout the year.
The Spirit Team participates in the morning worship service by leading the singing of a variety of songs, while Mike and David play musical instruments. The Spirit Team practices every Monday.
The Adult Chancel choir sings on Sunday mornings. They sing a
variety of styles of music. During the year, they perform a
Christmas contata. Special music is also performed at Easter.
During the summer, you can hear patriotic songs as well as songs
composed by Americans.
The Chancel Choir practices Wednesday from 7:00 P.M.- 8:30
P.M.
Our church is very lucky to have a talented director and organist/
pianist. We also have individuals that are willing to sing solos as
well as sing in small groups at church and for other groups outside
of church. Guests musicians occasionally perform with us.
Some of our members sing with the Alabama Civic Chorale. They
perform Handel's Messiah each year at Riverchase UMC.
